Dress Attire
Caps and gowns will be available in the Bookstore and may be purchased/rented up to Friday, May 4th at 4:00pm. Plan to purchase/rent your regalia as soon as it is available in late-March to confirm the fit. You may want to have the gown pressed before wearing it to the first event. All Undergraduate students must wear the blue/gold regalia to participate in Commencement exercises, while Graduate students must be in black regalia.
Baccalaureate
Graduates participating in Baccalaureate will wear their CAP with TASSEL and GOWN only. You may leave your academic hood and honor cords, if applicable, at your residence. Dress attire under the academic gown should be fairly formal. Please do not wear jeans or shorts. It is advised that you not wear jackets or heavy clothing. Given the occasion, please do not wear athletic shoes or casual flip-flops.
Commencement
Graduates participating in Commencement will wear their CAP with TASSEL, GOWN and ACADEMIC HOOD. Dress attire under the academic gown should be fairly formal. Please do not wear jeans or shorts. It is advised that you not wear jackets or heavy clothing. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes as you will be doing a lot of walking, going up and down steps/ramps, and standing. Given the occasion, please do not wear athletic shoes or casual flip-flops.
